Eagles New Years Resolution

It’s that time of year again. You get done your daily grind being a zombified desk driver. Rush from your office to your car because it’s windy pitch black and 15 degrees out. Drive to your gym because it’s the small amount of time you spend by yourself that you can actually enjoy. You walk in and boom, it’s like the KOP mall on black Friday. Just absolutely mobbed.

You have Fattyfatty Nofriends taking up the leg press. Timmy Igetnogirls on the bench and Johnny 2Packsaday coughing up a lung on the treadmill. All these New Year’s resolutions just ruining your day. Deep inside you just want to tell them to get out now, because you know you’re not going to see them in a few weeks.

So if the rest of us can look into the mirror, admit our faults, and try to make a promise to change, why not a professional football franchise? If Jeffery Lurie could come down from his ivory tower and tell us what the team will do better going forward going into the New Year, what would it be? My knee jerk reaction is that I would want him to serve beer the whole game, some of us have a problem Jeffrey and you’re not helping.

In reality the Eagles are a great organization and Howie runs them fantastically, but where we keep missing is acquisitions of players who play in the secondary. It was almost insulting this year we signed Patrick Chung.

Patrick Chung

Yeah him. We have an estimated 19.2 million dollars in cap room for next year. I know there’s a lot of young talent on the team, but after we get Nicky Numbers his contract the Birds need make a decent pick up on a talented secondary player. The effort was there with Nmamdi just need the execution. Charles “Peanut” Tillman is the best secondary player available for free agency next year.

What do you think the Eagles 2014 New Year’s resolution should be?
